Our Story

A Journey That Begins With a Whisper of Wood

It began in the narrow, sun-drenched lanes of Rajasthan.
The air carried the scent of aged timber and incense, the walls whispered tales of generations past, and the earth—cracked but proud—had stories to tell.

It was here, in 1996, that a dream quietly took root.

Not a grand business plan. Not an industrial ambition.
Just a simple, soulful desire:
To preserve what the world was beginning to forget.

A Memory Reborn

As modernity surged and traditions faded, we saw something sacred slipping away—the art of handcrafted furniture, the wisdom of old wood, the hands that once shaped palaces and homes with care and intuition.

And so, we began to collect.

Old doors. Faded beams. Forgotten fragments.
Pieces discarded by time but still humming with life.

We didn’t see waste.
We saw stories waiting to be retold.

One by one, we revived them—transforming memory into material, history into heritage, past into present. That’s how Shri Ganesh Handicraft was born.

Why We Named It Shri Ganesh

In Indian tradition, no journey begins without invoking Lord Ganesh—the remover of obstacles, the god of intellect and artistry. His name became our compass, guiding us not just in business, but in purpose.

Shri Ganesh Handicraft isn’t just a brand.
It’s a blessing.
A promise to create with integrity, reverence, and intention.

Crafting with Conscience

As we shaped each table, cabinet, and chair, we realized something deeper:
Our creations were not only artistic—they were ethical.

So we chose to walk a different path.

We used 100% reclaimed wood, salvaged from old structures across India.
We blended it with iron, marble, stone, bamboo, and clay—materials gifted by the earth and honored through our hands.

And we built a studio not of machines, but of people.
100+ artisans—each one a guardian of tradition, each one carving history into the present with pride.

Sustainability Isn’t a Trend for Us—it’s Ancestral

Our ancestors lived in harmony with the land.
We simply follow their lead.

  • We upcycle rather than consume.

  • We plant trees, not just furniture.

  • We create with minimal waste and a minimal footprint.

  • We let nature be our first collaborator.

To us, sustainability is not just a responsibility.
It’s our origin story.

For the Seekers of Meaning

Years have passed.
The lanes of Rajasthan have changed.
But the soul of Shri Ganesh Handicraft remains the same.

We now ship worldwide.
We serve designers, homeowners, dreamers.
People like you—who believe that the things we bring into our homes should have meaning, not just purpose.

And so, we welcome you.

To walk through our story.
To touch the past.
To live with something timeless.

Because what we offer is not just furniture.

It is culture, consciousness, and craft—woven together, carved with care, and designed to live on, long after we’re gone.
